Back at Truro Station for a train spotting video. Today I'm here because 26th February is the last day we will see Semaphore Signals being used as prior to engineering works and from this video you can see new digital signals to be installed, this means signal boxes at Truro, Par & Lostwithiel will be decommissioned and the new system will be controlled by Exeter panel signal box. This was the last day we see mechanical signalling being controlled by the signal box. Not all the signal boxes will be gone in Cornwall. Station such as St Erth, Liskeard and Newquay branch line for the time being will be using Semaphore Signals. It's being done at the three mainline stations because of the Mid Cornwall metro that will be introduced over time, you can view plans by the link below:

By also I am here to film trains today and over time seeing changes. GWR will eventually be cascading the Class 43 Castle Sets and be replaced by IET's and other units and it was good to film a couple of remaining Castle Sets while they are still in service.
We see the usual trains such as stated Class 43 Castle Sets, Class 150's on Falmouth Branch and various Class 800/802 IET.
Hope you all enjoy this video, please leave a like, comment & subscribe to the channel.
