Arthur Lowe stars in this longforgotten sitcom. Factory worker Clifford Basket (Ken Jones) has inherited the title of Earl of Clogborough, the remaining estate of which is a rundown mansion at Little ClogboroughintheMarsh and a faithful servant Bodkin played by Arthur Lowe. Clifford and his mother (Patricia Hayes) move in and start life anew as members of the landed gentry.

This episode: "It's A Living" The Earl has the right to appoint the local Vicar. Bodkin has his eye on the £2,000 a year that comes with the post, recommending his twin brother for the job. Arthur Lowe plays his character's own brother, just as he would do more famously in Dad's Army a few years later. Guest stars Roy Barraclough.
