Lateral Shoulder Movement for Recovery

Follow
TriathlonSkills with Celeste St. Pierre

The shoulder movement during the recovery is a side lateral movement. It is a deceiving movement as it "appears" that the arm lifts up out of the water when in fact it moves forward not really up. To clear the hand of the water, swing it wider. Keep the shoulder movement the same without shrugging the shoulder nor compressing the shoulder blades together. Practice dryland work, then take it into the water.
