Howdy, guys and gals; in this video, I explain the best tool or method for breaking out stucco on a wall sheathed with an exterior gypsum sheathing, or you can call it sheetrock or drywall, the same stuff.

Whether installing new windows or doors, any rotohammer is your tool.
We use a batteryoperated rotary hammer such as the Milwaukee for all our stucco breakouts for their convenience, not having to look for electrical outlets, and the drag unwinding and rewinding up extension cords.

FYI, gypsum board, sheetrock, and drywall are the same. It’s gypsum with different skins or paper.

Since around the early 90, most folks have been required to be code compliant, with exterior sheer wall backing, plywood sheathing, or OSB board.
