Today test new riductor to best low speed control of X43.
Work fine!

VS of custom micro crawler 1/43

Stock consideration:

Lada Niva have best control of low speed, X43 have best angle steering and better weight position for crawling. Lada Niva have FPV system, X43 with some work on. On lada niva you cannot cut the body, the battery have all space of roof, on X43 you can build a Pickup version.

Lada niva on downhill/uphill have lot of problem for high weight of big battery, X43 work fine!
So ... i buy both to build two different build :))

Body pickup version ( less high weight )
Delete battery mount ( less high weight )
Lowering battery to low cg
Rear shock in second position mount
Lowering 3mm with new pen spring short
Add more torque with Orlandoo metal pin shock
Add some brass in the wheel
Add metal rollbar handmade
N20 80rpm riductor to best low speed control

Ring of 2mm soldering tin in the wheel and on chassis, much better climb, no longer flip over like the stock one on steep downhill of my course.
Custom shock from Orlandoo stuff ( pin, cut spring )
Move rear shock mount forward
Handmade skidplate to protect gear
Lowering 3mm to LCG.
