Founded in 1912 by Dr. Sun Yatsen, the Republic of China (ROC) has seen its rise and decline, from the successor state of the Qing Empire, through the warlord era and the 1937 SinoJapanese War, and finally its relocation to the Island of Taiwan after its defeat in the Chinese Civil War. This video explores the leaders of the ROC from 1912 to 2020.
