Practice strategies for learning fast passages that are made up of scales. Examples used are 3rd movement snippets from Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn violin concertos. Special attention is given to organizing hand shapes, practicing in slow motion with left hand anticipation, chunking, and coordination in string crossing.
