PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION – This canvas painting tutorial will take you through easy stepbystep instructions on how to draw and paint this fun and exciting painting of "PHOENIX RISING” with acrylic paint. Although I heard of Phoenix and knew that it was a mythological bird, it wasn’t until I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix that I became intrigued to learn more. I remember in the movie there was a scene where Professor Dumbledore was explaining to Harry the significance of these mythical winged creatures, saying that they age, die, and are reborn from their own ashes. The professor went on to explain that these magical beasts are very loyal and are capable of offering aid to those who share their devotion. This is how the phoenix in the movie named Fawkes, was able to assist Harry a number of times, including, helping Harry slay the Basilisk, and, also swallowing the Avada Kedavra curse meant to kill Harry. Beyond the fairytale world of Harry Potter, the Phoenix has additional meaning. A symbol of renewal and rebirth as it rises from the ashes, these birds give mankind hope they we can all prosper and move forward after devastation or loss. So, join me and pay homage to these amazing, beautiful, colorful, powerful, and inspiring creatures and paint with acrylics this enchanting scene. The first lesson you’ll learn in this easy beginner painting tutorial is how paint a background using just a solid color of black, which will certainly create a dark and alluring feel to the painting. The perfect backdrop for your divine flying fowl. Then using a scrubbing or scumbling brushstroke, you'll paint the fire that the bird emerges from with an easy layering technique. After learning how to draw a bird using a dottodot method, you’ll use color theory to blend and mix a complimentary color that will be used as a foundation to work off of. In the next step of this easy art lesson, you’ll learn how to paint feathers using a one brushstroke technique, followed by painting highlights and shadows for added texture, depth and dimension, giving your devoted pet a 3D appearance like a photograph. You’ll then learn how to paint facial features, including, eyes, beak and claws, with just a few colors and brushstrokes. You’ll finish your classic masterpiece with your own personal signature. Using only 3 brushes, and 5 colors, and only one brush per step, you’ll create the best canvas painting in the world! Paint loosely and make it an abstract painting, paint with oils and make it fine art, use bold yellows and red and make it pop art! Not just an inspirational painting with a storybook illustration narrative, but an easy painting for beginners. The perfect canvas wall art to decorate your house with. Paint at home, alone, or with friends! Have a date night, paint party, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or water colour, any medium will work! I hope you enjoy watching this Youtube art video and let's get painting and let's get sipping!
