Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 1 inch and 1/4 inch flat bristle, #1 and #5 round synthetic
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, cobalt blue, burnt umber, chrome yellow, fire red
Other: chalk, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. 1 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat on canvas with black, white, blue
2. 1 inch bristle brush – Paint sky with white, yellow, red, blue
3. 1 inch bristle brush Paint base coat for distant mountains with blue, black, red, white, light blue (made in step 1)
4. 1/4 inch bristle Finish mountains with white, yellow, red, plum (made in step 3), dark blue (made in step 3), light blue
5. Chalk – Outline for train
6. #5 round brush – Paint base coat for train and train tracks with black
7. 1/4 inch bristle brush – Finish the background trees and atmosphere with black, dark blue, plum, white, yellow, red, light blue
8. 1/4 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat for foreground trees with black and yellow
9. 1/4 inch bristle brush – Paint base coat for ground, snow and steam with black, brown, white, light blue, dark blue, plum
10. #5 round brush Paint 2nd step to train with brown, red, yellow, white
11. #1 round brush – Paint 3rd step to train with black, white, caramel (made in step 10)
12. #1 round brush Paint 4th step to train with black, white, yellow, red, dark blue, caramel
13. 1/4 inch bristle brush Finish steam and ground with white, light blue, gray (made in step 12), red, dark blue
14. 1/4 inch bristle brush Finish foreground trees with dark blue, light blue, white, brown
15. #1 round brush Sign with light blue
