PAINTING VIDEO DESCRIPTION Looking for an easy nostalgic winter painting idea? Want to do a fun Christmas DIY project? In the mood for holiday inspirational art? Let me be your acrylic painting teacher as I take you through easy stepbystep instructions on how to draw and paint a Christmas tree and boy, a seasonal holiday landscape image of "PICKING THE PERFECT TREE" with acrylic paint. You'll learn simple painting techniques that will help you to develop a realistic starry night winter sky, rolling snowcapped hills, tall pine trees decorated with holiday lights and a child dragging a perfectly picked tree up the hill to its final destination. In this painting you will learn how to create a night sky with atmospheric dimension using an easy blending technique to create a gradient from dark to light allowing for the horizon to look realistic. The trees and the snow will look 3d with lots of depth by using a layering technique with natural colors. Let your sky twinkle in the cold air with thousands of tiny stars created with a splattering application (super fun). The painting will take on a Christmas holiday feel when the lights are added to the trees with vibrant colors that will glow onto each other providing a bit of whimsy throughout the design. This painting is created in an impressionistic style using a stippling technique for much of the foliage and an easy blending process for the sky and land. You could use your imagination to customize this image to represent a distinct type of tree, such as oak, pine, poplar, beech, maple or birch. You could make the child into an adult, man, woman, girl or boy, or someone that is important to you. Perhaps you paint a sled instead of the tree, maybe kids sledding down the hill or having a snowball fight! You'll learn how to paint this landscape image filled with crisp notes of the cool winter season using simple painting techniques to add color contrast, as well as highlights and shadows, you'll bring the image to life with a 3d photo realistic quality. You'll learn how to utilize a dark background for an easy way to add dimension to the form and land. The bold vibrant colors add a festive mood to the piece, but the evening ambiance allows it to have a sense of peaceful energy allowing the viewer to drift away into the quiet nights air. With the construction of the composition, you'll have fun with the simplicity of the process, but you'll also learn some valuable lessons that you can utilize in future work! This painting is sure to impress the viewer and compliment the décor of any room. Using only 3 brushes and 8 colors we'll create this conversational masterpiece with a magnificent lively seasonal energy. Have a date night, paint party, paint and sip event, or virtual paint night. Paint with gouache, oil paint, or watercolor, any medium will work! Paint just for fun or for art therapy. It's an easy art project. I hope you enjoy watching this YouTube art video and let's get painting and let's get sipping!
