VIDEO DESCRIPTION This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, stepbystep instructions on how to draw and paint this seasonal landscape animal portrait image of "WINTER HORSE" with a beautiful snowy atmosphere look to it. You’ll learn how to paint this lovely white and tan equine as it gallops through the snow with it's long flowing mane and an out of focus pine tree forest in the background to set the mood of this enchanting large animal out for cold winter journey. Using simple shapes to draw the animal, you'll create an outline for the horse that has proper proportions allowing for a basic step by step painting process for you to follow. You'll learn easy painting techniques for blending and adding highlights and shadows for dimension to create form and shape on the body and face. You can personalize the type of horse to resemble your favorite, like a Quarter, Arabian, Thoroughbred, Appaloosa, Clydesdale, Morgan, or a Shetland Pony, or just customize the color to be chestnut, palomino, buckskin, black or gray. Maybe you want to put a saddle on, or paint different kind of trees, hills, or mountains as the landscape. The options are endless on how to make this painting your own! You could put wings or a horn on the horse to create a Pegasus or unicorn. The sky could be changed too, to look like a night sky with stars and clouds or a bright day with the sun high. Let the posture of the horse show that it is running fast with a sense of playfulness and curiosity as it trots off into the distance. You’ll learn how to add texture and dimension to the mane, trees and snow to create a 3D effect like a photograph. The stallion will come to life with the action of his legs in motion and it's hair waving in the wind. The complimentary colors will bring cohesion and harmony, creating a balance of cool tones and notes throughout the image. You’ll learn to paint a realistic looking horse running that will pop with energy, an out of focus background simulating a landscape far in the distance, and snow with dimension that is being tossed up in the air by the long strong legs of the horse. Inspired by the strength and gentle nature of these giant animals, the white horse can symbolize purity, heroism, spiritual enlightenment, and the triumph of good over evil. You'll learn to paint this captivating equine with depth, contrast and natural colors, creating an image that is inspirational and beautiful. Using only 3 brushes and 5 colors we'll create this conversational masterpiece that is sure to compliment any décor. So let's get painting and let's get sipping!
