Landing EDFs once they're properly set up is a real joy and nothing to be afraid of. Plan ahead of what your aircraft is doing, use throttle on landing, and use an appropriate level of flaps for the type of aircraft you're flying and you'll find that it will float down to a gentle landing if you remember to maintain a shallow glideslope and flare before touchdown.
