Some European countries use a method called Fix Do, where C is always do, D is always re, and so on. If you are used to Fixed Do, just ignore the words before the staff or use the numbers instead. Sight singing is an essential skill that is typically a requirement in music schools for every student, regardless of their primary instrument.
