In this lecture, we will discuss about the way in which various sociologists have defined sociology. We will discuss about societal institutions, human behaviour in a social context, social change and social forces. We will also try to understand the difference between social institutions, social structure and social system. In the end we will discuss about the books and approach required for sociology optional.
