In this video you will see the process of connecting the controller to Lego City 60051 and 60098 trains, i.e. models that are no longer available in normal sale. These trains worked with the Lego Power Function system which was also present in Lego Technics. Generally, it is a very popular system that has been succeeded in the form of Powered Up known from Lego City 60197 and 60198 as well as the WeDo 2.0 set.

The old system, discussed in this video, allows you to connect independently controlled 8 trains to one controller (the new system supports up to 10 trains).

The mechanism of operation is very simple to configure, in each locomotive we set up a channel of action (then repeat it on the controller) and select port A or B. For example, one train to port A and the other to port B. On the controller, we can simultaneously control port A and B on one of 4 channels.
