Project Paper Plane Carrier

I've been thinking of building an aircraft carrier that can launch RC aircraft for quite some time, and this is the second step! The first step was building and testing a working catapult system that can launch RC paper planes, powered by a single POWERUP 4.0 module, from the deck of a ship. My catapult system used a single LEGO RC Buggy motor that drove two wheels through a simple gearbox. The wheels would "grab" the plane and accelerate it to takeoff speed in a fraction of a second, making sure it clears the deck and doesn't lose much altitude before pitching up and climbing.

The second step is incorporating the catapult system in an oldschool carrier ship. The carrier is a mix of an old seaplane tender ship and a modern cruiser. The adjustable pitch angle catapult is being housed in a closed hangar for protection and optimized takeoffs.

Now that the second step is also complete... who knows what's next!
