LEGO train track setup

installed rails:
363 straight rails
595 curves
29 switches
11 train crossings
248 flexible rails
in total more than 130 meter of rails

Each of the 3 EV3 Mindstorms controls 3 switches by detecting incoming trains with the color sensor or IR sensor, so 9 switches are controlled automatically. See https://github.com/Tegowalik/LEGOSwi... for more information.
