Lemurs of the SAVA Region of Madagascar

Follow
Duke Lemur Center

Take a video tour of the remote rainforests of northeastern Madagascar and see the rare and wonderful lemurs living there—including the seldom seen silky sifaka (Propithecus candidus) and the hairyeared dwarf lemur (Allocebus trichotis), among the most elusive of all lemur species!

The region is home to the DLCSAVA Conservation Project, in which the DLC partners with local communities, forest managers, students, and researchers to study and protect lemurs and the forests where we live. Learn more at lemur.duke.edu/protect.

This video was created by the DLCSAVA Conservation team with Malagasy filmmaker Riccardo Morrelas. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
