Massage Therapeutics

I kept saying ASIS instead of AIIS when referring to the origin of the Rectus Femoris. Sometimes My mouth doesn’t keep up with my mind lol . So just to make it clear the origin of the Rectus Femoris is at the AIIS (Anterior Inferior Iliac Spine) and the Sartorius originates at the ASIS (Anterior Superior Iliac Spine).

The muscles for knee Flexion are: Biceps Femoris, Semitendinosus, Semimembranosus, Sartorius, Gracilis (part of the adductors) Gastrocnemius, Plantaris and Popliteus

Muscles of knees Extension: Rectus Femoris, Vastus Medialis, Vastus Intermedius and Vastus Lateralis!

The knee is a hinge joint and is limited to Flexion/Extension
