We asked floral designer Lewis Miller of Lewis Miller Design to create an arrangement for his FLOWER magazine fans. Lewis combined locallygrown dahlias with materials foraged in EditorinChief Margot Shaw's garden to make a vibrant fall flower arrangement. Lewis gathered earlyblooming sasanqua camellias, Russian sage, abelia, beautyberry, and nandina berries. Margot gathered dahlias from Kathy Whitfield, a grower known in Birmingham as the Dahlia Lady.
"Have fun!" says Lewis. "Take greenery from the garden and enjoy beautiful local flowers. It's such a treat."
