Liberal Senator Claire Chandler has raised concerns about the rise of the “Muslim Teal movement”.

The fallout from Labor Senator Fatima Payman’s decision to cross the floor to vote in support of a Palestinian state has led to the emergence of a group aiming to capitalise on the Muslim community’s anger over the war in Gaza with a “tealstyle” campaign targeting the Labor Party.

“I would certainly be interested to see exactly what this movement is going to look like and exactly how faithbased it is,” Ms Chandler said.
