"I wrote Lie 2 You when I was going through a rough patch with an ex girlfriend. Every time we tried to talk out our issues, we would just end up fighting more. I was really frustrated at our situation and knew I needed some space. At the same time, I knew it would be a huge issue in itself if I was honest about that. The song came from the confusion of hiding how I really felt because I was afraid of losing her for good."
