I've never experienced lightning striking the plane I'm sitting in so that was an interesting experience! Very cool sight indeed, though might be a bit scary for some..I don't think anyone on the aircraft really noticed, it was during the climb phase and could have been perceived as turbulence. Lightning strike is at minute 13:29

The rest of the flight was sunny and smooth, though I probably won't choose to fly American's Boeing 777 fleet in main cabin economy again as its too cramped, only the 787 for me in the future..
