When I got back into art after a long break I actually came back in via calligraphy and journaling. I did lots of research into ink and pens at that point and soon realised that painting and drawing with water soluble ink is not only good fun but you can achieve a lot of textures. A little line and wash guide suitable for beginners.

This short demo will show you how to create a drawing using just a fountain pen, filled with water soluble ink and a brush.
