In this video you will learn basic processing of lineament mapping in ArcGIS. Lineaments are structurally controlled linear or curvilinear features, which are identified from the satellite imagery by their relatively linear alignments. These features express the surface topography of the underlying structural features. Lineament mapping is a very important step in geological studies and mineral exploration, with the evolution of remote sensing, processing methods as well as the availability of several optical and radar satellite data, lineaments can be detected without using traditional methods.
