Almost 3,200 kilometers by bike from Bonn to Lisbon.
In July and August 2022, I tackled this route as part of a sabbatical.

I sat in the saddle of my gravel bike for a total of 31 days, experiencing temperatures of up to 40 degrees in France, headwinds on the hilly north coast of Spain and fantastic coastal landscapes in Portugal.

After more than 5 weeks, I reached my destination in Lisbon before spending three more weeks without a bike in Portugal and Spain.

► I donated 10 cents to World Bicycle Relief for every kilometer I rode. Through great friends, colleagues, but also people unknown to me, a total of 3,333 € came together.

The trip was an unforgettable experience for me personally.
