During a frat party at his college, Jackie was punched and received a skull fracture after hitting his head on a cement floor. The injury required him to have two surgeries. Then, he was in a coma for over two weeks. When he woke up, Jackie discovered he could not talk or move without assistance and that he would have to relearn nearly all of his basic motor functions.
