World Champions and Olympic medallists Sky Brown and Jagger Eaton headline the park skaters descending on San Juan’s Skatepark Pocito for World Skate’s Paris 2024 Olympic Qualifier running form 2128 May.

Park skateboarders looking to book their ticket to Paris 2024 will continue their qualification journey at the upcoming World Skateboarding Pro Tour 2023 stop in San Juan, Argentina from 2128 May.

The weeklong event, concluding with a final on Sunday 28 May, is set to feature 179 Olympic hopefuls all bidding to claim as many ranking points as they can to try and make it to the next Olympic Games.

Just as with February’s World Championships in Sharjah, the competition proper will begin on Wednesday 24 May with the men's and women’s open qualifier where only the top 32 skaters will advance to the quarterfinals.

There, the skaters that are preseeded owing to their Olympic World Skate Ranking (OWSR) will join the competition where the field will cut down through a quarterfinal and semifinal leaving just eight skaters for the final.

Also following on from worlds will be the format for the contest. The open qualifier will ask skaters to perform two 45second runs where the best score will be counted. Thereafter, it will be the best of three 45second runs, or until there is a fall, and the best score will be counted.

From recently crowned World Champions Sky Brown and Jagger Eaton to Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallists Yosozumi Sakura and Keegan Palmer the field for the contest will be stacked to the brim with wellknown talents.

And with breakout stars from Sharjah including Brazilian Augusto Akio and Great Britain’s Lola Tambling also due to attend, expect the unexpected when the action gets underway from Skatepark Pacito.
