I wanted to show you my honest reaction to receiving this grade and I hope that it can be helpful / relatable if you are currently facing failure on some level. As you could see, when I first saw the mark, my first thought was that I had wasted my time but THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS WASTED TIME because all of our experiences and shortcomings help us to learn and grow into the person we were always supposed to be... I would like to stress also that, as ever, grades are relative: what is good for one person is bad for another and vice versa. Try not to compare yourself when you receive a grade back because we are all different and this is SO IMPORTANT to recognise!
Also, even though I really wasn't happy with this first grade, I received another essay back a few days later and was over the moon with the mark. We all have good and bad days; we're all human; and there is nothing wrong with being wrong or a little bit vulnerable sometimes x
