Long time Lupus warrior and author of the book, "Fighting Lupus Battles", Kayrene Mimms sat down with me to discuss topics concerning lupus. Being diagnosed at age 59, Kayrene has seen and been through many things. She is one of the rare cases of lupus that does not have kidney involvement but she has spent over 2 months in the hospital due to other complications due to lupus. Kay has been a long time advocate and promoter of lupus awareness and she looks to continue to spread the word about lupus with the intention of finally finding a cure for this mysterious illness.
