Timsvideochannel1

In this video we travel from Corwen to Llangollen with an interest mix of DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) vehicles made up at the Llangollen end of 109 set E56171/M50454 and at the Corwen end 108/104 Hybrid set M50454/M56223. These units bring back fond memories of the days when it was normal to sit behind the driver and enjoy a view of the line ahead in similar DMU's on all regions except the Southern.
The Llangollen Railway (Welsh:Rheilffordd Llangollen) is a volunteerrun heritage railway located in Denbighshire, North Wales. The line operates over part of the former Ruabon to Barmouth GWR route that closed in 1965.
Today the 10 miles (16km) long restored standard gauge line runs between Llangollen and Corwen operating daily services in the summer as well as weekends throughout the winter months, using a variety of mainly exGWR steam locomotives as well as several diesel locomotives and diesel multiple units.
