This is the longplay of the game Doom Troopers, an action platform game developed by Adrenalin Entertainment and distributed by Playmates Interactive, released in 1995 for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. Both versions were only released in the United States.

This game's story originated in the Mutant Chronicles series, a tabletop RPG franchise set in a postapocalyptic world, originally published in 1993. From this series, collectible card games, miniature war games, video games, novels, comic books and a film with the same title were created, based on the game's world. The specific story of this game takes place in a period when humanity is doomed to extinction by the forces of the "Dark Legion". The evil forces of Algeroth have emerged from their portals and established citadels throughout the solar system. Mega Corporations, desperate to maintain their power, have called upon the Doom Troopers, whose names are Mitch Hunter and Max Steiner, to cleanse the solar system of the Dark Legion threat. Their mission is to force Algeroth back through his portal, trapping him in Dark Symmetry. Mitch and Max will need a lot of firepower to save the universe from Algeroth's hands.

In the game, we can choose between the characters Mitch or Max, with one using a machine gun and missiles, while the other uses dual pistols and a flamethrower. The game's stages are representations of some planets in the Solar System. The game's graphics are not the best, the level design is quite questionable in some parts and the characters seem to have no outlines or anything like that. The weapons have limited ammunition, but if it runs out, the character can stand still and wait a few seconds to gain 10 bullets, so they don't run out of ammunition. There are also items to reload the weapons (either scattered throughout the stages or dropped by enemies). This was a game that was seen in rental stores and many people believed it to be a game from the Doom series, although it has no relation to it. The game has a high level of violence. It is a game that was released in 1995, when 16bit consoles were starting to lose strength to the PS1, with its 32bit. This game was also released only in the United States.
