Unbelievable, in 2022 Lufthansa has finally introduced a new Business Class with new seats in a 121 configuration and direct aisle access on every seat.
Boeing's 7879 Dreamliner was the first plane with new seats, but it wasn't a brandnew plane and these aren't the "real" new seats.
Lufthansa's first Dreamliner (DABPA) was delivered to Lufthansa in August 2022, but had its first flight already in August 2019. This plane was originally built for Hainan Airlines but during the CovidPandemic, Hainan Airlines cancelled all of their orders, and now, the new owner is Lufthansa.
After the fifth Dreamliner, they will receive their real new Allegris Business Class, but this seat here is already a big step forward, if you compare it to their old Business Class.
I was able to try this seat on an 8hour longhaul flight from Frankfurt to New York Newark.
Before my flight, I visited Lufthansa's Senator Lounge Z50 at Frankfurt Airport and now, be curious what Lufthansa has to offer on their latest plane.
