As the Luigi's Mansion modding scene is expanding more and more in the last few years and Halloween is approaching, I decided to play what I deem to be one of the best LM hacks so far. It was made for the 2022 LBM Hacking Contest and (rightfully) took 2nd place. Not only the atmosphere weighs heavily in this one, but also the difficulty level. The design of the areas proves to be excellent and comes close to the original game, even qualitywise. A small storyline encourages the player to continue this very short but entertaining adventure, and Luigi actually has got to say a lot about his environment when pointing at stuff with the Game Boy Horror; one can tell that the creator really put love into the making of this. The hack seems to be very well polished and is playable on real GameCube hardware. Great room layouts (and a lot of cash to collect everywhere), little details and challenging but fun gameplay definitely make this one of the best LM hacks out there by this point.
