The new Lumix S5II, S5IIx but also the old Lumix S5 record a great image with great color in VLog. However, you usually deliver your projects in Rec.709 which compresses a lot of the dynamic range and reduces the color space. By using HDR, you can persist the color space. You could reduce in HLG HDR on your Lumix camera but this will bake in the dynamic range distribution and might also have less dynamic range than with VLog.

With VLog you have already a large color space and you can easily convert it in Davinci Resolve while still being able to make adjustments.
