This is an overview and first impression of the H&R M16A1 one offerings for the line of Retro rifle parts offered by Palmetto State Armory. This lower looks great in gray and has very nice laser engraved markings including Government Property markings and AUTO laser engraved on the side. If you are doing a Retro rifle build (Clone Correct) this would be a good start if you can find a matching gray upper. H&R manufactured the M16A1 in 1968, 1969 and 1970 as part of the government contract to provide rifles for the U.S. soldiers in Vietnam. H&R also is manufacturing many other lines of ARs in different calibers that look similar to those made by Colt Manufacturing in the 60s, 70s and 1980s.
