This unique Casa do Penedo located in Central Portugal was orginaly built as a defense castle tower by the Moorish somehere betweern the 8th and 9th century. After that it took on many rolls, like a religieus place, one of the first government buildings in the region and tourist accomadation. Ofcourse it has now been classified as a monument. It has been completely renovated by the owner who is an architect, who was able to maintain the strong spirit and energy of the house.
