Hello and welcome back to another Rocky Mountain Adventure, but this time things are a little different because we are not alone! My family joined us in the wilderness for a multiday camping trip away from the firework noises during the first week of July.

In this video we attempted to summit a mountain before sunrise with our dogs, but ended up missing it due to an alarm clock being set for PM instead of AM. We still had an incredible view from the top of the mountain and it made me hungry for more sunrise hikes in the future.

We also did some exploring in the forest that yielded an unexpected surprise...bones! When the snow thaws it's common to find animal bones scattered across the landscape from winter dieoff. Rest assured though, no bones were taken, only observed, as they serve as natural nutrient source for wildlife.
