You can convert most VHS camcorders into tapeless cameras that record to micro sd cards. Then you can put it back onto VHS if you like! This is great because most VHS cameras in stores are broken but normally the camera and viewfinder are still working. It is much easier to find a working VCR than one of these cameras in perfect condition!
