In this video I will be synthesizing jet fuel (JP10) aka tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene and adamantane. Starting with purifying dicyclopentadiene, followed by a hydrogenation to form tetrahydrodicyclopentadiene. Then, through an acidcatalyzed rearrangement, Adamantane can be formed. Adamantane is a molecule that is a precursor to many different types of medicine.
