Boron is a weird element, a lustrous crystalline metalloid. Most won't come into contact with its elemental form as it has few uses. Boron starts to shine when it bonds with other elements. It is a chemist's best friend. Borosilicate glass makes up almost all the glassware in the lab. The Boro suffix is thanks to the inclusion of boron trioxide in the glass. Adding boron decreases the glass's thermal expansion, making it more shockresistant than ordinary soda lime glass. The shockresistant property makes it useful for equipment under constant thermal gradients. Now, with that tangent out of the way, boron time.
