Before my big race at Mammoth I decided to fuel up with the biggest pancakes you've ever seen, at the Whitney Portal Store! I met with owners Doug Sr. and Doug Jr. to see first hand how these monstrous things are made! Everything was just amazing, but after this I definitely needed help finishing that beast of a breakfast!
If you ever make a trip up to Mt. Whitney I would highly recommend checking out the great food at the Whitney Portal Store. You can't miss it! Just by the main Mt. Whitney trailhead at the end of Whitney Portal Road. It would be the perfect reward after summiting the highest peak in the continental United States!
