If you're going to saw logs into lumber, you're going to make waste. Lots and lots of waste. Leaving it to freeze into a solid block of ice like I often find myself doing is not ideal and often leads to large mounds of slippery wood piles all over the place. After some warm weather I finally get around to cleaning up the mess I began by digging up and chipping slabwood waste from my sawmill. My Kioti tractor with 32 PTO hp is hooked up to my Woodland Mills WC68 Wood Chipper today and about to take on some frozen wood chunks. I"m thinking this should be some interesting material to tackle as most of the time the wood is far from frozen. Let's see what happens! Welcome back folks, here we go!
