In this video, we show you how to diagnose and repair a Makita DTM50 LXT 18V multitool. We take you through the steps of checking continuity from the battery connection to the switch, performing a continuity test on the switch and controller module, and identifying that the controller is the faulty component. As it was not economically viable to replace the controller, we bypassed it to get the multitool working at top speed, rendering the speed control obsolete.
