There are several Pros and Cons for going to the Deep South of Maldives.
In comparison to our trip several years ago we found a lot more livaboards and divers in Addu Atoll.
The divespot"Tigerzoo" in Fuvamullah is very special. With our local guide we felt very safe.
In Gaafu Aliffu we were surprised how healthy the corals are. After a few years of bleaching in a row 2017 and 2018 they are now in excellent condition. The biggest surprise of our trip was the amazing house reef of The Residence with several encounters with a Zebra Shark.
Thanks to the dive crew of The Residence for some of the best channel dives ever.
