So today we will be talking about one of the most important aspect of Ayurveda treatments which is Uttar Basti. Uttar Basti in females I'll just explain the entire process how it is done. So Uttar Basti basically means instulation of medicines into the uterine cavity in the feamles through the urethra for urinal genital problems. Now to do in fertility issues we use utarti as a very effective treatment modality in this the procedure how it is done is first we take up the patient after a complete case history we take the patient up for Uttar Basti and on the day of utar basti a local massage is done on the abdominal area after that steam is given here we follow another two additional protocols that is Yoni davan that is washing of the the vagina with ayurvedic decoctions and Yoni dupal that means you're using fumigation of various ayurvedic herbs in the vaginal area after that we do the next step that is called Uttar Basti. In Uttar Basti we instill medicines in the uterine cavity now this medicines they're completely sterilized the entire process is done under sterilization and the medicines are insed from here into the home. So you can see the mode of action inside it can be on the endometrium. It is very good on the the tubes and on the ovine functions as well. So the importance of Uttar Basti where we can use it in case of thin endometrium. It improves zone flow and zone vascularity tubal blockage, improves uterine lining improves endometrial receptivity in polycystic ovarian diseases low amh recurrent abortions and it also improves fertility it is the cleansing procedure of the urogenital system. Now for urinary track issues we also do Uttar Basti. For example like cases of female stricture urethra and recurrent urinary infections if they're having or urinary incontinence in that case also we can do Uttar Bastii . But the root of administration is through the urethra. Now all the problems which are related to the urogenital systems are due to increased vata dosha this is the Ayuevedic theory behind and utbas very effectively works on Vata dosha and helps correct the functions of the reproductive cycle we have got very good results after giving Uttar Basti in cases of tubal blockage thin endometrium and for many years now we have been using Uttar Basti as a effective mode of treatment uttar basti also causes Improvement in the fetal bed which is created very nicely after Uttar Basti and it can be used as an uen therapy before a patient can go for IUI and IVF also we can use utbas as a complimentary therapy to improve the quality of the endometrium and endometrial receptivity mbasi gives results in recurrent abortions as well now in men also we do Uttar Basti for fertility issues and also for urogenital tract issues what are the indications of Uttar Basti in males now in utbas for males we do it through the penis. So the medicines are inserted through the penis under complete sterile protocols the indications are urinary incontinence prostate enlargement cystitis that is bladder infections neurogenic bladder urethal stricture and male infertility issues like sperm motility issues or oligospermia teratospermia or azospermia. In some cases not all through Uttar Basti we can treat and also it's good for cases like premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. So for all these reasons uttar basti can be planned it is also an adjuvant therapy which can be given along with basti that is parenteral administration of medicines. So this is the whole protocol of Uttar Basti.
