I thought I'd try to find the foxes tonight before I went to bed. It wasn't hard. We have harvested the hay in the front yard so the grass is cut very low. Mama fox taking the opportunity to teach the younger kits how to hunt as well as grooming them. They still play very hard.

From what I can tell there are only 3 out of the 6 original kits left with us.

If you pay attention closely you will see mama fox will catch and cache a mouse/vole in the grass to eat later. I have seen her do this before but not sure why. I don't know if that is for her or she is teaching the younger ones how to look in the grass for food. I think it is the latter since the kits will eventually "find" them as they play.

It is fun to watch these guys.
