In today’s video, we’ll show you how to make an absolutely delicious Mampazha Pulissery that’s sure to impress your family and friends. This traditional Kerala dish features ripe mangoes in a creamy yogurt sauce, perfectly spiced with aromatic herbs and a touch of coconut.

RECIPE

(1) Coconut – ¾ cup
Cumin seeds – ¼ tbsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tbsp
Water – ¼ cup
Blend this well to a paste.

(2) To a curry pot, add the mangoes (remove its skin), followed by,
Green chilli – 2
Turmeric powder – ¼ tbsp
Salt – ¼ tbsp
Chilli powder – ¼ tbsp
Jaggery – 2 tbsp
Water – ½ to ¾ cup
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Mix well and close the lid, cook mangoes well in medium flame.
When the mangoes are well cooked, add the coconut mixture to this and cook for few minutes.
Now, turn off the flame and add curd – 1 cup and mix well. Check for salt and add, if necessary.
To another pan, add some coconut oil,
Mustard seeds – ¼ tbsp
Fenugreek seeds – a pinch
Let these splutter. Then add
Dried red chilli – 2
Shallots – 4 to 6
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Transfer this to our curry pot and close the lid. After a few minutes, mix well. That’s it! The authentic tasty mampazha (mango) pulissery is ready now. Do try it out and let us know. Thank you!
