The individual approached a woman, posing as a La Crosse County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy and claimed his affiliation with several other departments. Despite lacking law enforcement credentials and official markings, he claimed to be searching for a missing woman in the woods. The woman, feeling uneasy, contacted the nonemergency dispatch.
