MAN UTD SQUAD FLYING OUT OF MANCHESTER TO GDANSK FOR THE EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL 24.05.2021

Earlier this evening i made the short journey over to Manchester Airport to film the squad flying out to Gdansk in preparation for Wednesday nights Europa League Final against Villarreal at The Stadion Miejski.

Manchester United's travelling squad for Wednesday's UEFA Europa League final with Villarreal in Gdansk has been confirmed.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is taking 26 players to Poland, as United chase a second Europa League title, having already won this competition back in 2017.

Among the party is club captain Harry Maguire, who missed our last four games of the domestic season due to an ankle ligament injury.

The boss has explained that he will wait until the day of the final to make a decision on whether the 28yearold can be involved or not, but admitted that it's unlikely.

Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof have competed for the two centreback spots in recent games and all travel to Poland in the hope of being selected by Solskjaer.

Anthony Martial appeared as a substitute during our 2017 Europa League final victory in Stockholm but will not be involved this time around.

The Frenchman has been absent for two months due to a knee injury picked up with France during the March international break and, despite returning to training over recent weeks, he is deemed to be not yet ready for firstteam action.

Youngsters Amad, Anthony Elanga and Shola Shoretire impressed during Sunday's 21 victory over Wolves and, with Solskjaer able to name 12 substitutes in Gdansk five of which he can use in normal time all are in with a chance of experiencing their first European final.

David De Gea, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba are the only four players selected who were also in the matchday eighteen in Sweden four years ago.

TRAVELLING SQUAD:

Goalkeepers: David De Gea, Dean Henderson, Lee Grant, Nathan Bishop

Defenders: Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Alex Telles, Axel Tuanzebe, Aaron WanBissaka, Brandon Williams

Midfielders: Amad, Bruno Fernandes, Fred, Daniel James, Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic, Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek
